Fort Campbell Swimming Eagles (Fort Campbell, Ky) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Head Coach for its USA swim team. The position will start in August at the beginning of the short course season.
SEA is an established year-round team averaging 30-40 swimmers, with abilities ranging from novice to advanced levels. The team trains year round on the Fort Campbell Army base. We strive to provide what is needed for our swimmers to achieve excellence in both swimming and life while developing a program to maximize each individual’s swimming performance. The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent communication skills, strong leadership and organizational skills combined with a passion for working with swimmers while promoting respect, integrity, dedication, teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal development.
Duties of the position also include supervising an assistant coach, and working effectively with the Board of Directors. Four or more years experience as a competitive swimmer is desired, and ideally two or more years of coaching experience. The position will be about 12 deck hours per week plus meets.

The Swimming Eagles are a non-profit, parent run competitive swim team. The Swimming Eagles have been in existence since 1992. We are sanctioned by USA Swimming and travel to meets within the states of Tennessee and Kentucky.
Our mission is to develop abilities in our swimmers that will inspire and empower them to achieve excellence through a positive competitive swimming experience. We believe that our sport teaches fundamental life skills that are invaluable beyond the pool. By teaching and instructing our athletes, we develop in them the self-discipline, personal responsibility, physical fitness, and personal excellence necessary for success in competitive swimming and beyond. Swimming offers a diverse group of people a sport that knows no boundaries. Every person has the ability to be a swimmer and our team can bring forth the competitive spirit in each of them.

Are you ready to compete on the team?Our team competes in the short course season from August-March.
Our swimmers are broken down into three groups based on swimming ability and competitive desire. The groups are organized as follows:
Bronze group: This is the introductory group for the Swimming Eagles. They focus on the four swim strokes. They work on technique and execution of the strokes along with learning how to start off the blocks and incorporating flip turns into their stroke. They are required to participate in at least two (2) swim meets per season.
Silver group: These swimmers have a good working knowledge of all strokes and are working on improving endurance and perfecting their strokes, starts and turns. They are also starting to set motivational/personal time goals for themselves. The Silver group is required to participate in three(3) swim meets per season.
Gold group: The Gold group is comprised of the intermediate level swimmers. They range in age from 12-18. They are encouraged to meet motivational time standards and compete in it at least five (5) meets. These swimmers are perfecting their skills, building endurance and being trained for competitive success.
The placement of all swimmers will be at the discretion of the coach!
